Prof. Makoto M. Watanabe is the pioneer of Mobiol Technology served as professor at the Graduate School of Life and Environmental Sciences, University of Tsukuba. He also took the role as Director of Algae Biomass and Energy System R&D Center at the University of Tsukuba. He was President of the International Phycological Society and Chair of the International Organizing Committee of Asia Oceania Algae Innovation Summit. He was awarded the Yamada prize of JSP and Reviewing Made for Algal Research ELSEVIER in 2018 because of his outstanding accomplishments. Prof. Watanabe published several original scientific papers (196), patents (12), invited review articles (26), books (13), and project reports (46). Two of the twelve patents were POME utilization and purification by DHA-rich Aurantiochytrium sp.

Doctor in Science
Dr. Andreas Isdepsky is the head of ProBio-Engineering Co. in Tsukuba, Japan. He received his Ph.D. from Murdoch University in Western Australia with expertise in Algal Biotechnology. He led scientific projects at the University of Tsukuba in Japan. He also has many years of extensive experience in Bioethanol and Biofuel in Germany and Australia, responsible for the construction of commercial algae plants, process development, and optimization during operations.
ProBio-Engineering Corporation
ProBio-Engineering Corporation provides consultation specializing in engineering bioprocess development for fermentation and algal biotechnology.
World waste issues significantly impact human health and ecosystems in coastal and terrestrial regions. Accordingly, developing sustainable solutions to manage natural resources, conserve energy, and reduce pollution while reducing costs for consumers and businesses is vital.
Food processing is the primary industry facing significant challenges due to its plethora of by-products. Food processing by-products often have a high biological oxygen demand that harms the ecosystem when discarded without treatment. Therefore, recognizing the importance of making food by-products functional, the goal involves producing solutions that generates a sustainable circular economy.
Algal biotechnology is optimized to deliver bio-products from waste generated by food processing. Producing bio-products such as cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, fertilizers, and animal feed from food industry waste benefits the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Applying scientific and engineering knowledge demonstrates a commitment to develop innovative technologies and strategies for implementing solutions to maintain a sustainable environment.
The technical support provided to Kaltimex Mobiol Indonesia by the ProBio-Engineering Corporation ensures that novel algae technology is optimized to produce a sustainable and safely consumable alternative source of Omega-3 DHA from By-LPO (By-Product-Liquid Palm Oil) via specialized algae cultivation.
