COMPANY BACKGROUND
Novel Technology from Japan's Tsukuba University offers a sustainable alternative to safely process By-LPO by cultivating Algae to produce the essential supplement DHA Omega-3.
ABOUT US
In compliance with the ESG policies of Kaltimex Group and to promote circular economy using sustainable practices, Kaltimex Mobiol (Singapore) Pte. Ltd.(KMS), together with Kaltimex Energy (Singapore) Pte. Ltd.(KES), have expanded and formed a 100% foreign investment company - PT. Kaltimex Mobiol Indonesia (KMI) in Jakarta, Indonesia.
KMI provides the technology and builds production plants for cultivating algae biomass in palm oil mill premises from the feedstock, By-LPO. KMI extracts the DHA oil, an essential component of Omega-3, at their extraction plant.
KMS owns the patents for the technology. Patents cover several countries: Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. The patents include methods for culturing Heterotrophic Microalgae using By-LPO, producing DHA, and utilizing Marine Heterotopic Algae with Amino Acids components suitable for Aquafeed as a Protein Source in Aquaculture.
KMI will pioneer Algae-based DHA production in Indonesia by utilizing By-LPO to support the Indonesian Palm Oil Industry, comply with ISPO and RSPO requirements, and take the lead towards UN's SDG 2030.

OUR VISION
To provide novel algae technology by utilizing By-LPO feedstock to produce DHA for sustainable practices for the palm oil sector.
OUR MISSION
To pioneer sustainable methods in harvesting DHA from byproduct generated by the palm oil sector in Asia.

Where We Are Today?
Kaltimex Mobiol (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. has acquired Patents that were the research subjects of scientists based at Tsukuba University, Japan.
KMS is the worldwide trade-mark holder of Mobiol.

ProBio-Engineering Co., Tsukuba, Japan [ProBio] provides technical support.
- Constructed by the EPC contractor Kaltimex Energy Indonesia (KEI) in - Kisaran, North Sumatra.
- KMI has been cultivating algae biomass to extract DHA from By-LPO in this plant since 2020.
- DHA oil has been successfully extracted from the dry algae biomass.
- The extracted oil from dry Algae cultivated in By-LPO has resulted in a DHA content of 24.3% as per the test conducted at Saraswanti Indo Genetech, Bogor - Indonesia, in November 2021.
- Continuous tests at Tsukuba University and extraction conducted by MOBIOLTEC on samples received from the Kisaran Plant have also reached DHA content of >22-23%.
- With recent process improvements, KMI is confident reach the concentration of > 38-40% DHA Oil.
- KMI can cater to the market needs for supplements of DHA oil with various levels of DHA content for human consumption, poultry, and aquatic feed.
